How to Avoid the Corrosion of the Pot Magnet?

How to Avoid the Corrosion of the Pot Magnet?

1. Excellent magnetism of the pot magnet

Compared with ferrite and other permanent magnet materials, the pot magnet has excellent magnetism and it is the most commonly used rare earth magnet. The pot magnet is widely used in electronics, power machinery, medical equipment, toys, packaging, hardware machinery, aerospace and other fields. But it is very susceptible to corrosion. Then, how to avoid the corrosion of the pot magnet?

(1) The electroplating
Electroplating is a process of coating another metal or alloy on a metal's surface by the electrolysis. The process is to use electrolysis to attach a metal film to the surface of metal or other materials, so as to prevent the permanent pot magnet from oxidation (such as corrosion), improve its wear resistance, electrical conductivity, reflectivity, corrosion resistance and enhance the aesthetic effect.

(2) Electrophoresis
Electrophoresis is the course of charged particles moving towards the opposite electrode under the effect of an electric field. The technology of electrophoresis is to separate charged particles in an electric field by their different speed. It is one of the surface treatment techniques for anti-corrosion that is widely used in the pot magnet. The electrophoretic coating adheres to the surface of the porous magnet well, and is resistant to salt fog, acid and alkali corrosion.
